Children and sound

Benefits of natural sounds can also be observed in children. Even in utero, a mother’s vibrations are transmitted through the amniotic fluid, which are soothing to both mother and child.

During my pregnancy, regular sound treatments were very good for me and my baby. I could reassure the baby after an ultrasound and relax as I looked forward to the birth.

Sound treatment can also benefit children with ADHD or those who experience difficulties with concentration as it can reduce stress and rebuild missing frequencies in the hearing area.

In order for children to be able to experience a sound meditation, I have devised sound stories where I tell a self-composed fairytale about nature and the environment, accompanied by sounds. During this activity the children can also paint sound pictures, and sounds can be experienced in a playful way.
